As a minimum sampling shall be performed on completed ring joint gaskets in accordance with ISO2859-1:1999,Level 2, 1.5AQL
A minimum of one hardness test per sample part shall be performed in accordance with procedures specified in ISO 6508 (all parts) or ASTM E18, geometry permitting. The location of the hardness test for ring gaskets shall be in accordance with Figure 1. The location for nonintegral metal seals shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s documented requirements.

The acceptance criteria for ring joint gaskets shall be as given in Table 1
